Beach Art or Art at the Beach

 September 6, 2020

Some interesting finds at the beach.  Don't recall seeing these works of art last year.  Perhaps the ongoing restrictions imposed by the pandemic has brought forth the need to make art!  One person inspired another who inspired another who inspired someone to document and share.  "Sculptures" made from things found on the beach or driftwood that has been carved by the water and by bonfires makes the trip to the beach an exciting adventure for this venturer.

A long time exhibit has been the wreck of the Peter Iredale and is a constantly changing scene no matter which direction you look at it...

What can be seen of the aged wreck varies with the tides and seasons, the angles and the light.

What other art?  Well, some made from sand, the ocean may have redesigned these creations...

the moats not quite being up to the task of keeping out the ocean.

Isn't this so cute?!

Then there is the installations created by fire and water, or rather water and fire...

Honestly, who could come up with the intricacies and colors of this piece?

        Or this one?

These may have had some help in the staging department...

Multi functional art, complete with decorative details...

                                                                                                                                                                                     Abstract art?

Kinda looks like a donut with

some interesting toppings.

So these next ones might get entered in the mixed media category.

Inspired by all this art?  We were so we made a submission of our own...

XOXO, till next time!
