March 17, 2020 Seaside Beach
March sun, sand and not a lot of wind brought about some awesome sights. There has been an unusual number of eagles it seems. This one is a juvenile, not one I've seen before. There have been four adults, ones with the white heads and dark bodies that have been regulars along the dunes.
(These are a pare I caught playing "Who'll blink" one day in January. ) They are really big! Definitely visible from a distance. Got a new to me Nikon camera has some improved features from my Canon so was out testing it out. It wasn't long before I can upon another eagle:
This one, Google tells me, is a golden eagle. It is smaller than the one I've seen on previous trips.
Lots of people have been taking advantage of the beautiful area we live in and the wide open spaces to get out of the house. Imagine a world where the outdoors becomes a new normal verses the mall.
