June 27, 2019 More Oregon Coast...
Feeling pretty zen here, taking in the ocean (it actually felt warmer the other day). Also the animals and the views. Loving being able to drive on the beach and just be there for hours. Better than sitting inside because it is too hot or the UV index is too high. I am enthralled with my surroundings.Brown pelicans are HUGE! Didn't realize the size until seen next to a seagull.
Took a drive down 101. This is before Manzanita and the colors are incredible with the grasses, the trees, the cliffs and the fox glove flowers which are prolific this year.
Another visit to the Peter Iredale. The top picture in the right you can see a drone.
This colored picture you can see the wood is still in tack even after 100+ years of exposure. (Ship wrecked October 25, 1906.
Three bull elk still in velvet out at Fort Stevens State Park. Elk, like the vegetation, seem to be really thriving here.
Some has stacked rocks making a very zen scene.
2nd siting of eagle, don't know if it is the same one. It was eating a fish but wasn't willing to stick around for a closer shot.
Could get any birds to stick around today! A couple of shots and these guys started walking away and then flying away from me! These terns have quite the wing span.
